Let’s dive into how to optimize this recipe for maximum flavor and texture!

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. chicken
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1 Grissini bread stick or 4 Melba toast snacks
  • seasonings (salt, pepper, paprika, ground red pepper, garlic powder)

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for optimal cooking. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

2. Instead of slicing the chicken breast into tenders, consider cutting it into strips or cubes for bite-sized portions. This allows for easier handling and quicker cooking.

3. In a food processor, grind the Grissini breadstick or Melba toast snacks until they form a fine powder. Transfer the powder to a shallow bowl or plate. Add your desired seasonings to the powder and mix well to combine.

4. Dip each piece of chicken into the water, then coat it evenly with the seasoned breadstick or toast powder. Press gently to ensure the coating sticks to the chicken.

5. Place the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy. Flip the chicken halfway through baking for even browning.

6. During the last 5 minutes of baking, switch the oven to broil. Broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the coating is golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
